Director

Professional Experience

Rich began his career with the firm in 1991 and has over 22 years in the profession. As a tax director, his client responsibilities are in the areas of tax planning; tax research; and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. Rich has extensive experience with automotive suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and service organizations. This experience includes entity selection consultation, buying and selling tax consequences of closely held businesses, corporate liquidation and reorganizations, multi-state tax issues, and merger and acquisition transactions.

Rich also is the director-in-charge of the Doeren Mayhew Special Projects Group. This group performs research and development tax credit studies and cost segregation studies.

Education

Bachelor of Business Administration degree – Western Michigan University

Masters of Science in Taxation degree (with honors) – Walsh College
