PositionDirector Professional Experience Michael J. Berry began his career with the firm in 1977 and became a tax director in 1987. He is the firm’s specialist in Sub Chapter S corporate status, having served as the only CPA on a national committee to improve Sub Chapter S laws for closely held corporations. Mr. Berry is responsible for the compliance and review of federal and state tax returns, the research and communication of tax-planning techniques, and the representation of clients before government audit. His extensive experience includes entity selection consultation, buying and selling tax consequences of closely held businesses, corporate liquidation and reorganizations, multi-state tax issues, merger/acquisition transactions, and employee benefit planning including 401(k) plan administration.
