Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and completion of fieldwork for operational and compliance audit engagements for financial institution clients

  • Identify and document audit issues including the preparation of reports of written findings and recommendations

  • Complete assigned work within defined scopes, budgets, and schedules

  • Develop and mentor staff

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients to enhance client satisfaction

  • Assist with special projects as necessary

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting

  • One to three years experience in banking, financial industry, public accounting, internal audit, or compliance

  • Technical knowledge of internal controls, banking regulations, and financial accounting

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and to build client relationships

  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and place findings in proper perspective relative to the risk to the organization

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and carry out a number of client projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high degree of accuracy

  • High standards of honesty, ethics, and integrity

  • Ability to work accurately and independently, while seeking advice under the appropriate conditions

  • Effective computer skills and proficiency with MS Office

  • Understanding of ACL a plus

  • The desire to pursue professional certification (CIA or CPA)

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

This position involves travel primarily in the Metro-Detroit area, but may require overnight travel, and includes a competitive salary, generous comp time program, and a full benefits package.

Analyst - Litigation Support and Forensic Services Group

Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis and create alternative scenario models

  • Conduct extensive and effective research
  • Utilize sophisticated financial models in Excel
  • Assist with report and presentation preparation
  • Support team managers and practice leaders

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (masters degree in economics, finance, accounting, or MBA a plus)

  • Minimum 2 years current and directly relevant professional experience

  • CPA and other relevant professional certifications a plus

  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Research acumen that provides high quality results during time critical situations

This position is primarily an office-based position with minimal travel and includes a competitive salary and benefits package.

Senior Auditor

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and completion of audit engagements for primarily financial institution clients

  • 30% travel to include local, regional, and national

  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • ProSystem FX Engagement experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial statements for primarily financial institution clients

  • Evaluating EDP controls

  • Auditing financial institution clients

  • Client interaction

  • 30% travel to include local, regional, and national

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance

  • Eligible to take CPA exam required, earned CPA, or successful completion of exam preferred
  • Minimum 2 years current financial institution audit experience
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • ProSystem FX Engagement experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
