Birmingham CPA firm Doeren Mayhew has improved its ranking among the state’s largest accounting firms, rising to the 15th spot from its previous 19th position on the Business Alabama’s annual list.  

Rankings for the 2026 list were based on total number of state-based CPAs, with Doeren Mayhew reporting 26 Alabama CPAs.

Doeren Mayhew entered the Alabama market as a result of its Dent Moses acquisition earlier this year. Most recently, the firm was also honored among America's 100 most recommended tax and accounting firms by USA Today and recognized by Accounting Today as both a top 40 and fastest-growing U.S. CPA firm.
