Doeren Mayhew, a national assurance, tax and advisory firm, has acquired Grand Rapids-based accounting firm Benoit & Associates, CPAs. Effective June 1, 2025, this acquisition deepens Doeren Mayhew’s tax practice and affirms its intentions to grow its West Michigan presence.

Benoit joined Doeren Mayhew as a principal and has, along with his staff, relocated to the firm’s downtown Grand Rapids office located at 56 Cesar E. Chavez Ave. SW.

Doeren Mayhew’s continued growth is focused on its pursuit to expand service lines and specialized expertise in both its current regions and new ones. The firm has built its presence in the West Michigan market with the acquisitions of Beene Garter LLP in 2022, and most recently BHT&D CPAs in 2024.
