Houston CPA firm Doeren Mayhew has improved its ranking among the city’s largest accounting firms, rising to the 11th spot from its previous 13th position on the Houston Business Journal’s annual list.  

Rankings for the 2026 list were based on total local accounting professionals, with Doeren Mayhew reporting 181 professionals, 81 of whom are Houston CPAs.

Contributing toward Doeren Mayhew’s local growth were its 2025 acquisitions of Houston accounting firms, Reimer, McGuinness Hess & Associates, BC Consulting, TBK CPAs and Vanessa Sola’s sole practice. Doeren Mayhew has also been recognized nationally for its growth, ranking 47th on Accounting Today’s Top 100 CPA Firm list as well as being highlighted as a fastest-growing firm by the publication.  

Most recently, the firm was also honored among America's 100 most recommended tax and accounting firms by USA Today.
